Fantastic Part, Easy to Install Last night I replaced a failed 10 year old valve, and this worked correctly the first time. I didn't even have to adjust it (though different plumbing configurations might require adjusting the internal cam.. more on that later). I already have a a fair amount of experience with my Aqualink RS panel, so running and connecting the wiring harness only took about 5 minutes, including zip typing off the extra cable and buttoning up the panel.This valve works with different automation systems, but ... read more
Very easy to install Was a direct replacement for my previous Jandy Valve Actuator. Very easy to install. Note that is it sent as per the picture, so you need to re-use the handle from your existing JVA, I found the instructions to set the actuator shafts quite confusing, but after 2 minutes of trial and error, I got it right. Another poster says that it requires some basic technical and electronic skills - I do not agree.

NICE AND EASY! Fixing my broke automatic jandy valve was easy with this kit. Only thing is that there werent any instructions- but I managed to do it pretty easily:This comes with the top part of the automatic valve- it does NOT have the handle or the valve. Easy replacement installation This is a direct replacement for the old model 2440. Easy installation. No programming required for my setup. This is the 2nd one I've replaced. The first is still working fine 4 years later.
Good Replacement Unit Not quite sure what "packout" means. This is a complete replacement actuator. The handle comes with the valve. I used it to replace a JVA 2440. The real unit looks like the attached picture.As long as you're going to the trouble to replace the actuator, replace the valve at the same time.
