Added to my Jandy! This was added so that I could turn on my waterfalls without having to turn the valves by hand. Only limitation is that this unit cannot regulate the waterflow, it is 100% open or 100% closed so the waterfalls cannot be opened to trickle.
Disappointed! The Jandy Actuator did not work when installed. Very disappointed! When I opened the box, my first thought and comment to my wife was, "this actuator looks used and rebuilt." My wife agreed. The item was then installed a few days later by a pool equipment company and was defective. The pool company installer showed me the installed actuator and it was not working. Arrived with defects. Try these out before you install them. I ordered two of them and both were defective. I'm returning these and purchasing another set, and hope they work. I'm not very confident.

Don’t buy from Pool Supply Warehouse I received this product from Pool Supply Warehouse on 5/24/20 to replace one that lasted me over 10 years. I installed it about 1 month later, towards the end of June. I used it to turn the valve so I could use my hot tub. The actuator worked fine the first day I tried it. easy drop-in replacement for my JVA 2440 my JVA 2440 finally failed after 15 years, bought this as a replacement. this item does not include the handle or screw-on cap, you'll need those from your old actuator. took about five minutes to install in place of the old actuator, plugged it into the control board, and it worked like a charm.
YOU GET 2444 NOT 4424 LIKE ADVERTISED Why is the numberin for unit different? Maybe the header needs to change. Have not installed yet.
Does the job at a great price I didn't know what a Packout-Assembly was and still don't, but I figured this JVA must have failed some cosmetic assembly line test which is why I could buy it here for $20 less than anywhere else -- plus, of course, the prime shipping. I think my guess was right, since it seems to be the real thing and works fine. I only gave it 4 stars because the darn things don't last very long. I've got 4 JVA's and I think I replace 1/2 of them every year.
