Good Replacement Unit Not quite sure what "packout" means. This is a complete replacement actuator. The handle comes with the valve. I used it to replace a JVA 2440. The real unit looks like the attached picture.As long as you're going to the trouble to replace the actuator, replace the valve at the same time.

The instruction manual was just okay, could be a bit confusing for some with the adjustments. You will need a nice wire striper to get a clean installation. Perfect Actuator Replacement, Easy Install If your valve isn't working right, this "packout assembly" replaces everything you need except the handle. It is simple to replace with just a screwdriver. Although it comes with wiring all the way to the controller box, I didn't use it.
