Handy 7305 Really disappointed with these item bought may 2017 and now it's cracked around the top making it leak. Only lasted a year for the price I paid I should have gone to the local store and bought it there. Now the replacement is $30.00 not reasonable. Very disappointed customer.
One out of the Two Check valves Purchased Leaked The jandy check valve is very good for pool applications. I purchased two of these valves for re plumbing an inline chlorinator and spa that sits above pool. Last weekend when I installed my new cartridge filter and in-line chlorinator, the only leak I had was coming from the check valve. I removed the top and found that the gasket was missing. Not authentic Jandy. Knock off product. Not a true Jandy check valve. China product. Seal plate is black, not red, and metal parts do not appear to be stainless steel. Not worth taking any chances and risking damage to my system. Very disappointing and misleading product advertising.
fixed my problem I have replaced the backflow valves on the spa side twice (the cheaper ones) before ordering this one- at least now I can replace the flap instead of cutting pipe when it fails eventually. word of warning though: plan your cuts carefully to allow room to insert this thing and use the right glue-- specifies pvc to cpvc cement (universal) - one side of the joint failed when I installed it leaving me driving around to plumbing supply stores to find a 2 1/2 inch to 2 inch pvc fitting - not easy to find so I coul... read more
Way over priced for what it is. But you need it so go ahead and buy it... I don't know. It's an over priced check valve that doesn't really seal all that well. I honestly think it also causes a decent restriction due to the spring being too tight. It's ironic that it still let water through (albeit very little) but restricts due to the spring... Go figure. poor quality and no warranty Stay away from Jandy, there is no support, no warranty. Also this valve corrode after 3 weeks and failed after a few months. Don't buy Jandy product, they require to pay someone coming to check on any of their product. for me I have the controller died, they want me to pay someone to check 4 screws before even doing anything. 2" male pipe OR 2.5" female fittings attach to Jandy - ether end Good enough for now, I’ll let you know more in 10 years. By way of clarification: What this Check does is stop water from flowing (back-flowing) in one direction. ALSO, the 2 inch pipe you glue to the inside of the check. If you need too, you can instead (ether end) use a 2.5" female fitting end to fit over the outside of the check in/out. Inside with 2" pipe, outside with 2.5" fitting. Great product. I bought this only because I had to replace my pool heater and unfortunately could not reuse the existing Jandy 7305 that was installed (no room to add a coupling to the existing PVC). That one had been in service for 5 years with no sign of wearing at all. Now it's spare parts but I doubt I'll ever need them. Great product.
Overpriced garbage!! This rust out right before my eyes. I have it hooked up to solar panels for my pool. Overpriced garbage!!!
