Great Check Valve. Does exactly what it needs to do. Keeps the pool water in the pipe to the pump intake. No hassles. Long life. My old Jandy check valve had to be replaced after 20 years of use as some of the other valves needed replacment, and it seemed like a good time to do them all. Easy apart for cleaning. Fits 2 inch pipe into the valve body. 2 1/2" pipe uses a coupling over the valve body. Use Grey Glue for all fittings 2" & up for best performance.

Easy to clean High quality and easy to clean if ever needed. Just be sure to remove the cover and flapper before gluing the pipe connections.
Quality Stuff Jandy makes good stuff and if you use the right cement and solvents you will not have a problem, I did not have any problems. Just make sure if you are going to PVC to use multi purpose cement. If you use PVC cement it will fail. This valve is ABS so PVC,ABC cement is needed. Or as I call it "Gorilla Snot" (do not look for this, it does not exist) but is is thick and resembles mucus. Allow plenty of time for drying. Nice construction, PMable I considered spending $8 at the hardware store for a generic version of this. The difference is you can take this apart while inline and replace o-rings and gaskets, and you can disable it for the winter. Very quality workmanship.
The valve is the same as the one I could have goot at a pool stoew bud cost less. Their is not much more to say! It is the very same valve, it looks and works the same, because it is the same.
