8 month review - Jandy valves After 8 months wanted to review this product. 8 months ago had my pool guy do a much needed overall of my entire pool system. One of the products purchased was these see through Jandy check valves. My pool guy highly recommended these. His logic was over time inside the valves can get stuck and being able to see inside improves troubleshooting. My previous old Jandy valves would stick and cause flow issues. Broke in less then a season Installed at the end of summer, when to open the pool today 13-03-22 and noticed rust and the valve moving lose inside the unit. Not worth the money considering it rusted in one winter without water.
Counterfeit Jandy These are not Jandy brand. Chinese knock offs. If you’re replacing the inside only the flap is larger than Jandy and developed leak. They seem like decent quality if you’re replacing the entire housing. May work. I just replaced guts and now unfortunately too late to return
Switcheroo. Received a CMP check valve at a Jandy price. Item received is not a Jandy product as advertised. Check valve is made by CMP but sold at a Jandy price. The CMP name and product code are stamped in the valve on the bottom. Will be returning.
Does not last The only positive about this valve is that it's easy to install. A really expensive item. Worst of all it's leaking already! It is supposed to prevent water from a raised spa to drain into the pool but it only help up for a few months.
Great Seller, product, but poor manufacturer integrity This is "Rating the Item" it's as good if quality as any and built well. Zodia, the manufacturer does not give any reasonable warranty on their product however if you purchase online. Not due to knock off's but because they don't want you to be able to purchase online which makes ÑO sense, especially during these times. It leaked all the water out. I have installed many pool check valves. They all sooner or later leak. This valve would not hold water for even one day. I am very disappointed. I thought this valve at $ 80.00 would work. I hope this company calls to make it right.
May need this before you order new pump. helps drain back and dry starts. Stops drain back and dry starts of pump. maybe I could have installed this and saved a new pump cost.
Leaks and doesn’t work as designed. I wanted to like it because it is the only valve I can find that has little to no restriction on the volume of water it passes. Unfortunately it doesn’t stop the water in the opposite direction which is the whole purpose. In a vertical installation it recommends 16 inches of plumbing above to help seal the valve. Didn’t matter 24 inches didn’t even work. So chlorine can slowly drain back in to my pool heater with this valve
