Ok Instructions could have been easier. One red and one blue wire in replacement leads, one black and one green in original panel. Nowhere in books does it describe these color connections. So far it's working, hope it does what it's supposed to. 3rd day, no measurable chlorine level.
Zodiac PLC 1400 I bought this as a replacement for a unit I had purchased during a pool remodel. The unit I received at that time was one of what I understand to be many defective units. This unit however worked great from day one and my pool is sparkling now. This unit came with a sensor for flow, salinity and temperature the original was defective like the cell unfortunately I had already replace that defective sensor so now I have a back up. Cell Works Great Easy to install. I have the older board so I didn't have to use the tri-sensor adapter. After two weeks, it's working perfectly. Time will tell the whole story.

Fast Delivery So the old one did not make it through the winter, replace for summer pool fun. Quick and easy, Amazon had it and beat local dealer by $100's. Pool looks great!
Good product, poor documentation It took me a long time to make sure this was the unit I needed...but in the end, it was a direct replacement for the salt cell I had. The installation was very easy. I just wish the documentation and description of what I was getting had been better. These products are not designed for normal people--they're meant for professionals--and you void the warranty the minute you touch it (if you're not a licensed installer).
13 months and posts eroded!!! The posts eroded in 13 months and is now a boat anchor and of course no warranty. For $90 a month I could just add chlorine far cheaper. Learned a lesson, you get what you pay for, product and service.
Must be a Design flaw This is my second cell that I had to replace.Why do these keep burning out??
Not lasting as long as is should. Pool is professionally maintained. Bought May 2023. Already dead. The first one installed 2018 lasted thru season 2022. Seems this is going to be a money pit. $500/yr on salt cells. Hmm. Not how it was sold to me.
