I want to warn people to stay away from this and all Jiffy Lubes. They didn't rip me off but they tried too. The only reason they weren't able to do so is I work on my own cars but sometimes it's convenient to let someone else do an oil change. Said I had a crack in the windshield that needed to be fixed for about $50. There wasn't any crack. Then told me my radiator cap needed to be replaced as the cooling system pressure was wrong and a new cap would fix it for $20. I asked if they could rotate the tires, and when told it ... read more
Well, I can't say I wasn't warned....I read others reviews while I was waiting to get my oil changed, and so I knew about the sales tactics and potential for rip-off and got taken anyway. Before I get to that, why can't I just get an oil change, why do I have to let them do a 10 minute inspection of the car to then tell me what products I would benefit from, I don't go to my doctor for an Rx refill and get an EKG? This is a lengthy review but I want to get my point across with concrete facts. If you don't have time to read it, I just have to say avoid any Jiffy Lube at all costs. When things are fine they are great, when something goes wrong they show their true "customer service." If you have time, continue reading... It seemed to me they were trying to run up my bill. They kept adding extra services without telling me the price then when I tried to get them to remove some of them and only do what I requested they said they already started on some of the other stuff and i was stuck. They charge an extra $30 for tire rotation. Most places do that for free with an oil change.
Service is good and fast, oil changes seem to cost more here? Usually around $40... would give them 5 stars if not for the sketchy up sale tactics.
Never visiting another Jiffy Lube again.. Went in for basic oil @ filter change... Allow them to change expensive air filter but refused their other strongly suggested services. After leaving, started having severe issues with vehicle. Notice on receipt the next day that they made comments on issues with vehicle upon arrival (broken transmission dip stick, severe engine noises, etc...). I'm confident they messed with vehicle... Taking it to dealer to find out. BEWARE!!
I do get that you're paying for the convenience of getting an oil change done quickly, but their pricing has gotten out of hand. My sister in law's old Nissan Sentra has 190,000+ miles on the meter, she's always taken it to the dealer for service, and now that I'm driving it, seeing the Pennzoil sticker on the windshield, I figured that's what she would want.
