Don't be swindled by their reviews. Most people don't fill out a review when their problems are taken care of. We purchased a 2014 CR-V a few years back and it had been totaled. I contacted JMA and they had paid the bank off in less than two weeks. Their customer service was great and very helpful. I was really worried seeing all these bad reviews as I recently totaled my car on September,29th. It was a brand new Rav4 only with 2000 mile on it. I was devastated as I only pain one installment and was left with the whole loan amount to be around 30k. Being a grad student I didn't know how I could get out of this situation. But Amazingly I didn't have to pay a penny out of my pocket there was a balance of around 6k and JMA paid 6.6k leaving an overpay of almost 1k. I sent all documentation for a warranty refund and never got a response. Then I resent documentation after speaking to a representative and ****** said there was no account. He kept stalling and asking for more documentation and changing the requirements of what needed sent. Still 5 weeks later and they have even started to process the refund. This business is a total scam. They make the refund process too difficult so they hope people will give up but not me. Im willing to take them to court.
Save your money, or if you must ,roll down your window and throw your money out rather than purchase their "Total Loss Protection Addendum", nothing but a ripoff! Hit a deer and totaled my car, supplied all required documentation but was denied any sort of settlement. Why? I wish I could tell you. My Lawyers are reviewing at this time. I use them for my gab insurance. After the accident I talk to them and everything was suppose to be good to go. I send them the info for the file and as they informed me I was all set and they will cover the remaining balance of the car. After 7 years I found out that they never did. My balance got send to collection. I called them and they told me I never did anything which is not true and there is nothing they can do about it. They are super misleading. I wouldn’t trust them.
I'm through playing games with American Honda Finance Corporation. They keep moving the goalposts on me. Next actions: the District Attorney office in Torrance,Calif.,Alpharetta, Ga.,and Exton,PA. I am going through an experience that could have been handled so differently. I bought a ToyotaRav4 through a Hillsboro Oregon dealership and after I refinanced it I went into the dealership to cancel my DAT coverage. The finance guy entered the information into the system gave me his card and that I would receive the check in 30 days. When I recieved the check from Jim Morgan and associates it wasn't made out to me but to to Lexis Financial who then signed ownership to Toyota. It's an invalid check. They sent me email breakdown of the calculation of how the GAP claim coverage works & that met beyond my confusion to come to a understanding of how it works.
The length of time for them to process is not satisfactory to me. I was originally told that the check was mailed to my bank on May 15, I just now got told that the check was actually mailed May 18, therefore it takes 5-10 days for the bank to get it, process it and make the payment. This alone discourages me about the time consuming process of this, otherwise it has not been too bad with the GAP company.
