we waited over 30 minutes to be asked if we wanted to order drinks, we didn’t even get water at our table when we sat down. We almost missed the happy hour deal due to how long we waited. The burger was super greasy:( Disappointing as I enjoy going to the King location, however I understand they were facing tech issues that evening but it doesn’t make up for forgetting about my table.
Not my first time dining at this location but I was hoping to have a great time with my wife as it was celebrating her new job (noted in my opentable reservation). Upon arrival, it took a few minutes before we got to the host desk and checked in for our reservation. We were told to stand on the side, which was fine. Several minutes passed and we didn't get any update nor was the restaurant particularly busy as there were empty tables. It was a rough night at JOEY - their servers were down, and we got terrible service. We were seated at a table way too small for our number. Our drinks came after a long wait (and after the food which came out suspiciously quick). The food was good, but everything was slow and the place was soooooo loud. Wouldn't recommend.
The food and ambience were good, however our server did not check on us after we got our orders. She seemed to be checking on other people, so this felt rude. Will likely not be back again.
Second time at Joey’s. First time, wasn’t impressed with the food or the service. This time around, the food was notably better (we got the sushi/steak platter and a bottle of red). However, the server literally never showed up after the first round - not even to get us water. Terrible service. Also, their washrooms are two stories underground by stairs (literally) and through a labyrinthine maze. Strange for such a large restaurant. Service slow. Told staff we had reservations soon. Ordered coffee came late no cream or sugar. We were not able to drink it. No one offered to delete it from bill. There were 6 people at our table
The server was lovely, but the service was slow. It was busy, but that should be matter for a restaurant located at Yonge & Dundas square. The food was very meh, my sister ordered a burger and there was nothing more than a bun and a patty. My father upgraded his meal and it was cold. I dunno, somewhat disappointed considering the location, reputation and price.
