I would not say that Joey’s is upscale. A place for a “quick” bite is fine….though I doubt the quick! Food is sub par. The drinks are okay. The waitstaff is extremely young and very attractive but oh so low on initiative and polished customer service. Most seem to be walking aimlessly whilst the remaining appear to be struggling. Waited 45mins for a glass of wine and a burger. We were group of 6. Our food came after 4of them finished their mains even we ordered everything at the same time. 1 order was a burger during happy hour and it came with no side , only burger like a kids menu. Joey is a place that we go often for work, but not anymore. They did not even do anything to tolerate our wait and frustration.
Came for a birthday dinner and drinks. Waiter tried to be nice but you could tell she hated us. The steak knife wouldn’t cut the steak so I got up to request a new one, which was also dull and insufficient. Service took a long time this day for some reason. The music was too loud so we couldn’t hear ourselves or the server - we politely asked to turn it down. Service is not good and it does not worth. I cannot believe that we should wait in washroom lineup in a luxury resturant like JOYS !!!
The food was very good, the portion sizes were small for the price. The service was very slow and the server seemed confused a lot. It took a long time for the table to get water and it took wayyyy too long for me to get my coke. Although they did take it off the bill, it was just bizarre it took so long. I would not come back for dinner but for a drink an dessert that is fine.
I had a terrible experience and will not be coming back. We had a reservation booked, we were seated at the table and 5 mins later we were approached and asked if we could please move. We said sure no problem. We then waited for 20mins at the new table for the waitress to even come over. It took 35mins from the time we sat down to get our first drink. We then waited over an hour for our food. When I approached the manager she said I’m sorry to hear that and then walked away. Absolutely terrible service!
Service seemed slow even though the restaurant was fairly quiet.
A lot of staff running around, very inefficient. A lot of waiting for drinks & food. Credit card processors didn’t work at table, had to load on line pay system to pay our bill.
