I really gave this place a few chances, but unfortunately, it just didn’t improve. The burgers were extremely bland, with no real flavor, and then the ravioli with steak was just as disappointing. The ingredients felt really low quality, and the whole meal was just not worth it. I won’t be coming back.
This is the second time I have experienced this issue. When making the reservation, I specifically requested an indoor table. However, after arriving and waiting for 15–20 minutes, we were informed that only outdoor seating was available. We were then told that if we preferred to sit indoors, we would need to wait an additional 20–30 minutes. This was disappointing, especially since the indoor seating request had been clearly communicated at the time of booking.
0 star We went to Joey at Fashion Island, and had a very disappointing experience. We waited at our table for about 40 minutes and not a single server came by — not even to offer us a glass of water or acknowledge us. The service was completely unacceptable. After waiting that long without any attention, we decided to get up and leave and go to another restaurant, extremely loud. Very poor service and a very disappointing experience. We don’t recommend this place.
The food was mediocre at best and so over priced for what you got. We will not go back, it's Newport beach and luckily there is no shortage of great restaurants.
Unfortunately this time the service was not as good.
This was our first time at Joeys. We were really excited to try it as it was recommended numerous times and always saw a waitlist. Everything except the ambience was mediocre at best. The portions and quality were laughable. My $60 steak was super chewy, almost cold and lacked seasoning. The pressured sushi also lacked flavor. We shared the miso mushrooms and for $15.5, I expected more exotic mushrooms instead of just baby Bella. Overall, I would skip Joeys unless you want to have a cocktail and enjoy some good vibes.
