Service could be better and the food menu could be better.
Hostesses were cold, told us we would need to leave in 2 hours, when I asked if there was any flex in another section, I was told no, that we’d have to leave. We ended up being able to stay as o expected. The sat us 4 at a high top, when asked to move to a booth, they said needed to have a party of 4 or more and at the same time there was parties of 3/4 sitting in the booths. It was too expensive for what was served. We did not feel satiated but we still had a big bill to pay in the end. While the ambience was great, the service was slow and the plates for too small for the price
Waited 40 mins just to receive an overcooked steak, when I said my medium rare steak was overcooked they brought it back to the kitchen then proceeded to return to my table to say “the chef said that’s medium rare but they’ll make a new one”… then proceeded to bring me a steak that was even more cooked. 0/10.
I saw the good rating and went to Joey’s however it wasn’t worth it. We ordered steak and lobster spaghetti The portion size was too small for steak for $37 and in the spaghetti there were only prawns not lobster and that too for 38$ not worth it at all. Not that it matters but not going again.
We had a reservation and were still kept waiting over 20 minutes with no clear communication. Once seated, the table had an extremely harsh white light that was genuinely uncomfortable, and the staff didn’t seem interested in fixing it or offering a better table. Even with reservations we had to wait longer than people who just walked in. Our server, Olivia, passed us onto the bartender who never came to take our order. After the wait Olivia ended up taking our order. Drinks took 10-15 minutes minimum, even for a beer, steak wasn't done as requested but I didn't complain because I didn't want to wait. For the price point, the service was well below par and food was ordinary. I rather go to earls or cactus then return to this location.
Excellent server, knowledgeable about menu. Made good recommendations. Towards the end of the service, visit was cut short and didn’t get to order dessert. There was no mention of a seating time limit. A little disappointed at this as we were looking forward to eating dessert.
