It was freezing in there. We were seated by a window. I had to keep my jacket on. Then we were moved 2 tables down. A little warmer. But still cold. Not the greatest experience
Not at all what I remember JOEY to be, but in great company. Quite disappointed. Food was cold and wasn’t that good. Overpriced.
Cold place, food was average in taste, portions were small, we didn't even eat for $130, better would be Cactus or Earls
Burger was excellent. Our food took 35 mins to come out. That's too long when you're hungry and need to be somewhere after. We let our server know and she said 2 mins. But it was actually 7ish. No time for coffee or dessert. Dinner is fine to take longer but lunch needs to be quick.
I went to the Sherway Gardens location on Sunday January 11, 2026 at around 8:00 pm. The place was quite cold. Mind you, it was a cold evening but many of the patrons were wearing their jackets because they needed to. The food was adequate at best. They were very busy and I was seated close to the kitchen and could see entrees sitting at the kitchen counter for, at times, 10 minutes before being passed to their respective tables. Overall the experience was fair. The food was ok - I am surprised that the meal portions keep getting smaller at Joey's. I ordered the tofu bowl and paid almost 30$ for half a cup of rice and literally 5 tiny pieces of tofu. The value is not there and I will not be returning.
Food was mid, nothing special. A bit expensive. I ordered the udon carbonara and it was so salty to the point I kept drinking water after every bite and I told the waitress and she said “it’s suppose to be like that” to which I think her respond was not nice at all because she was not the one to taste the food and I’ve had this dish before and it was never this salty. Overall ambience was nice, service was okay and food was okay.
Took 15 minutes to be seated even after having a reservation and showing up on time. Took another 15 minutes for wait staff to get drink orders (not even water was served until after wait staff arrived at table to get drink orders), appetizers came with main course together, but this was rectified upon our request. One alcoholic beverage came with a dead fruit fly in it, notified wait staff and received a new drink, but did not comp the drink in the end.
