Ordered some alcohol to go with my dinner from Joeys south common, White Claws I’m thinking, oooh Mango Flavoured! Drive 30 mins to pick up dinner to treat the lady tonight! 30 min drive back home, open our bags to devour our delicious dinner and we get this.....Really...a clear garbage bag of Mangos...like actual Mangos! Not alcohol, not vodka seltzer’s....Fruit...a clear garbage bag of fruit. This is real, I was not too pumped to say the least and the food way meh to be honest. (*edit, the mangos were actually pretty good)
Had what I would call a bewildering experience at Joey South Common today. A few coworkers and I went for lunch, and although it wasn't a bad time by any means, it was just a bit odd. We were sat by the hostess, and then a server came and took our drink order. Somebody else dropped off our drinks, and then another girl came over and introduced herself as our server (which seemed weird since our drink order was already taken). Ordered the chilli chicken and had a fly on it , told waitress and they got me another order of it only to find piece of hair in it as well , was disgusted , lost my appetite

My family and I were at Joey’s South Common this evening and our meals were less than stellar. I must say that my meal, my husband’s and my Granddaughter’s were good. However my daughter- in-law’s steak was tough, my son’s steak over cooked and my Grandson’s steak Frites was cold and very tough. The service was extremely slow,but the restaurant was busy. Our server was friendly and pleasant. Considering what we spent all the meals should have been better.Sorry.

RecommendedAlways loved this place but don’t expect to make a reservation. They say they take them but no matter how far in advance you try, nope! Yet, no issues with any other location. At this one you have to email a particular person only once they hear it’s a larger party. Odd the other locations don’t have the same requirement. I was told by someone in the industry (another Joeys) this location doesn’t like taking reservations for bigger parties. I just tried again this year and same response. Never had a problem until today, when the wrong credit card was processed- rather than void or refund the purchase and take payment from the right card, they took a hard line and said I couldn’t be helped - unless I paid a second time and waited 4 days for a “money manager” to call me back. All in the name of security purposes. (Like this is my move to scam them out of $25!!) Embarrass and offended I went from taking clients there a couple times a week to never again. Well played Joey!
This was my first time in a Joey restaurant. My husband has frequented locations in Toronto, and said they were good. His steak was good and I ordered the Farmers Market Chicken Salad....
