The Zoo has always been one of my favorite places. It's amazing that some of the animals (Gerald and Betty among them) are the same ones I loved as a child--but at the same time there's so much MORE zoo than there was then. Mokomboso Valley, Lake Manyara, the Woodland and River Realms, and Wallaby Way all delight me the same way the otter and puma exhibits did when they were new. Keep on growing, JBZoo!
We love the zoo so much! My son is 1 and a hf and knows most of the animals. We are members and go as often as we can! Best $ I've spent!
Small, easy to get around - and covers all the bases for a small zoo. Of course I bought a membership because my son loves Stingrays, saw them once, then they all died. I will not buy another membership, because that was the pull for us. Next year our money will go to an aquarium.
We did a behind the scenes tour & my daughter also did the penguin feeding! It was a great experience. Our tour guide, Jen, was fun & informative. David helped my daughter feel at ease with the penguins! Thanks John Ball Zoo for a great time
