I had such high hopes and was sadly disappointed our waiter never asked if we wanted anything to drink and when the food came it tasted reheated we ended up not even eating much I can say I wouldn’t recommend going and I wouldn’t go back..
Really dinner was a great disappointment. I ordered a medium ribeye steak. It came out rare. So I sent it back and it came back very tough so I asked to speak to the manager because my waitress was so overwhelmed with customers she could not get back to me. Place has gone down hill over the years, reduced menu, reduced portions, increased prices. NY is 48 now, opted for the chicken, it was maybe half a breast cutlet, all of the food in order, covered less then half plate... better off going to the coffee shop/restaurant in same casino.. better value and better food
Food and drinks tasted great. We asked our waitress for more bread and steak sauce and waited 10 minutes before she brought it to us, then we waited for over 20 mins for our check after we were done eating.
We had made reservations requesting a table by the windows to celebrate my birthday. We we seated by the restrooms. Very dark table. We ordered a filet mignon and a New York Strip steak both medium rare. Also ordered a se4rving of pawns and a salad. The bread we received was hard and cold almost like last night's left over bread. When all is said and done what you receive at K-Bar vs the cost simply is not worth it. The sides were bland, the appetizers laughable (the caprese salad consisted of 2 tomatoes quartered in large chunks and the smallest portion of mozzarella you’ll ever see) and the drinks extremely watered down. We came for our anniversary excited and left disappointed in the actuality of what we had received. Service and ambiance were great but we won’t be back
We ordered Filet Migon. On my plate, everything was just luke warm. On my wife's plate, only the mashed potatoes wer hot, the rest was just barely warm. When you pay $47 for a steak, and $127 for two meals, you expect the food to be delivered hot. I realize you were busy on Valentines Day, but we could have gotten much better food at the Styx for a lot less. this is our 3rd time eating at K-Bar. Over cooked halibut, undercooked steak. Ahi tacos had virtually no fish.
Drinks tasted awful. Shrimp was way over cooked. Halibut was way over cooked . The veggies were so over cooked they were just mushy and the baked potato was so over cooked it was hard . The steak, mashed potatoes and bread were at least good.
