The best possible advice is stop making assumptions! Clearly list and state the documents needed for pre approval through underwriting upfront in a list. Ask for the employment verification as soon as possible. Asking a buyer to put pressure on their employer because you delayed things based on an assumption is not ok. If you need things quickly state it when you ask, if there is a time deadline like by the end of the day say so. Don't tell a buyer not to worry.
