Best pastrami in Houston, great service and clean restrooms. I drive over 30 minutes to eat at this place.

The good: very good service, clean, managers walk by numerous times and ask if your ok. The "needs improvement ". The sandwich is HUGE, but it's mostly bread. 3 layers of bread. French fry order was small-but tasty. The suggest much less bread and really stack the other stuff like they do in NYC. $25 just for their biggest sandwich. Should have 1lb of meat.

It's been a purr-fectly long time since I sank my paws into a Katz's Deli sandwich! The 'Meow' is no joke, packed with pastrami, corned beef, turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo on crispy French bread. Time to get my paws dirty!

Food and service is always good. Two things irked me. Ketchup and Mustard is complimentary. My wife asked for some ranch dressing for her sandwich. Add $0.99 to the bill. The bill also had a 2.58% credit card surcharge or $0.96 to the bill. A couple a bucks is no big deal but it is a cheap money grab that a quality restaurant interested in providing great service would not do!!

I'm sorry to say, this Katz's doesn't come close to the "real one" in New York City. Nice atmosphere, but it's not the same. I can only compare the matzo ball soup and the corned beef sandwich against the original. I also sampled some of the pot roast sandwich. Corned beef was about the same as Boar's Head deli meat. Good, not great. Was it made in-house? I don't know. Next time I'll try the pastrami and hope they make it in the restaurant. Matzo Ball soup was excellent and spared this review one less star. Balls were fluf... read more

Phil, our server was great! Pastrami hash was amazing. The reuben was spot on: Correct proportion of sauerkraut, Russian dressing, meat... perfect crispy rye. Open 24 hours to boot. Wish I had a Katz's at home!

Today's visit was made great thanks to our very attentive waitress Grace ! A must to ask to be seated in her area. And the order was custom. Made to our liking with complete understanding. And the manager who dropped by our table " just to make sure we were well taken care of". The level of customer service today was top notch and sold our visit with 5 stars! Worth a visit for sure! Just my opinion.

I've been to Katz before but mostly for to go orders. Today I decided to sit down and eat my meal there fresh and hot. I ordered a hot apple cider, stuffed cabbages with a side of potato pancakes. The hot apple cider was delicious. The stuffed cabbage rolls were great as always and this was my first time having the potato pancakes. They were seasoned well and crispy. I would definitely order them again. Katz is a traditional Jewish Deli and it always has that feel.
