The food is always decent. Nothing great and nothing bad, just a wide variety of options. The servers are always friendly too and do a good job. Been coming here for 20 years and it really has changed a lot, but it's still friendly, decent food, and a comfortable place to go. Also, open 24 hours, how many places are still like that? It's great for those of us who sometimes work awkward hours.
12.24.25 Never tried this location before and we have not been to Katz's in about 15 years. They never close so we decided to give them a try on Christmas. First, we got the very last table available. They were very busy. I read a few reviews before going there and some people were saying the table chairs were uncomfortable. Food i had was good. However, i am a large man, their booths are for tiny people. Seating a bigger person in them was idiotic. The host should have told me this or just sat me at the bar or table. 5 minutes and i had enough. I walked to the bar and took my things on the table with me. Whoever designed the booths is an oxymoron, especially in Texas. While sitting at the bar i looked back at the booths and noticed a man half my size struggling to get in and out. Always great for a late night bite! Got the grilled cheese with the tomato bisque and it hit the spot. Service was fast despite the late hour and there are plenty of tables available!
I go out of my way to stop at this particular store. I'm always greeted with a friendly face and kind words. top notch takeout.
Service was fast and friendly. Plenty of NYC decor and food to make you miss being there. Sandwiches a bit different than being in New York but still decent. I wasn't a fan of the Russian dressing, made the sandwich a bit off for me. Would have liked the bread a bit more toasty and crisp. Will go back to try breakfast at some point.
Good casual foods with a laid back kick. Friendly staff and servers. Great place for lunch or late night...even good for the kids.
Ambiance: Upscale diner that's open 24/7 and perfect for curbing literally any craving at any time of the day! What I like about Katz's is that they've put a "fancy" twist on a classic diner. Very warm welcome! Hostess was nice! Made us aware of the new menu items. I love rum so decided on their new mojito. Very tasty. Cheese crisps were so good we almost got a second order... so tempting. Entrees were great! Katz pride sandwhich and spaghetti and meatballs Dakota was great, even though they weren't our server.
