Love the service here and always has great choices in food! Lots of vegetarian options and the pasta was cooked to perfection! We got extra garlic bread and also had two mixed drinks on the side which were super delicious I have been here in total a little over 10 times and will definitely be back
Haven't been here in a few years but decided to meet a friend here for brunch on Sunday. We started with drinks - red sangria for me (yum) and the fried pickles. They are actually fried pickle spears, not the normal slices. These were surprisingly excellent and the order was enough for many people to split. I then had the chili dog which was huge and a side of onion rings. The chili could have been a little better, I found it a tad bland. The onion rings were super crunchy and delish. But overall the service and food were gr... read more
We had a great lunch at Katz's. Our server, Yong, was amazing and gave us great recommendations as well! Highly recommend!
FYI: If you order off of Yelp, the price is higher as the order is processed by Grub Hub. Better to order directly off of Katz's website. The overall 3* rating from other people is appropriate. I paid $22 including the extra $8 to get it New York style, with extra meat. It had about half the amount of meat it should have. Take a look at the picture. The PASTRAMI and CORNED BEEF were cold, not steamed and warm. The bread tasted like it came from the bread man or the grocery store, not fresh baked. My expectation was fresh ba... read more
For a true NY style deli experience- west of the Mississippi, it does not get any better than Katz's in the Woodlands. For over 12 years, each time that we travel from Dallas through the Woodlands to the Houston area, we are sure to stop at least once- and probably twice (coming and going) as it simply does not get any better than this. Simply the best ingredients, VERY generous portions prepared and served by knowledgeable and a truly great staff ALWAYS results in a fantastic meal at a reasonable cost. BTW, Katz's is al... read more
Excellent food and service. Loved the bread and the waffles! Attentive service. Food brought quickly but no rush atmosphere. Really enjoyed this restaurant. Will be back. We had: Chicken Parmesan Turkey delicatessen on sourdough Philadelphia Cheesesteak Waffle sandwich French fries - one order was plenty for four Belgian strawberry waffle - dessert was large enough for four people
California prices here in Texas = sinking ship. So I've been eating here since about 2012 and I've experienced their dips in quality of chefs and service, but they always seem to rise back up. I gave them 5 stars because on my last visit, they did everything right (granted that there was only 1 other table occupied at 9pm). The chicken Parmesan and their Matzo ball soup was delicious as always, served with a portion that filled our bellies. The only difference was a new, much higher, California price. $9.99 for a bowl of sou... read more
My first time at Katz. It was a nice place and the service was good. Very clean and not too loud. Only complaint I have is the meat portions. I ordered a large Ruben. They should just call it what it is: a sauerkraut sandwich. There was almost no meat on it. I really wish I had taken a picture; I actually thought they forgot to put it on at first, until I took a bite and saw a few very thin slices. For an $18 sandwich, I expected more.
We (party of 3) came in at noon on a Saturday. The hostess says there will be a15-20 minute wait. There appear to be about 4-5 groups also waiting. There are SEVEN clean empty, tables, and the entire seating area at the bar is empty. Granted, the wait was only about 10 minutes, but this place is losing business with empty tables like that. One of our party was given plastic utensils. The waitress said "we ran out" of silverware. Waitress was very courteous and responsive. Food, as always, is yummy.
