We were looking for a breakfast spot on Saturday and found Keke's. This is now my favorite breakfast spot, what great service you receive. The servers were polite, helpful and around to assist every moment. I feel like we were eating in a five star restaurant. The price for three people was not bad. The place is clean and has a very nice atmosphere. The coffee taste fresh and the food taste delicious. Come check it out.
Good local breakfast place in a strip mall. Good food and pleasant service from personable waitress Tara C. We were seated quickly on a Sunday morning and I ordered the Apple Cinnamon Stuffed French Toast, which was very tasty, though not a very large portion size. My wife ordered the One Pancake Combo, which came with eggs and potatoes. Not only was it all tasty, the pancake was huge and very reasonably priced!
Service - one star. We sat unnoticed for 20 minutes. Finally flagged down a server who apologized and said no one told us we were there. We had a 1 year old with us and it would have been nice if they had bought toast or biscuits or SOMETHING. Long wait between drinks and the taking of orders. Long wait for the food. I'm a big fan of the restaurant, and the food is normally very good. But I would like to share this incident that occurred today that had nothing to do with the meal itself and is the main reason I'm giving 3 stars and not at least 4. This was at the new location in Apopka, Fl. So, we're sitting at our table for about 10-15 minutes and no server has come to us. Probably the best place to grab breakfast in the area. Food was phenomenal, the kind that you close your eyes for as you taste and savor each delicious bite. I ordered banana caramel nut french toast to go and it was perfection. Exactly what I needed to start my workday on a gloomy foggy morning. I love the way Keke's staff packed my meal to go, each item was in a separate container so nothing got soggy and saturated until I was ready to assemble and dig in. Loved the food! Stuffed French toast wow! Only problem i tried to call in to order since my hubby was sick. They never picked up when I called them. So i had to walk in and order and wait a while. Not fun when your trying to walk in and out.
We are so glad they opened this new Keke. We always ate in the one 1 in Altamonte Springs. But when we moved further downtown Apopka it was a longer ride so we didn't go as much as we did, which was ever Sunday. We r hoping with this one 1 we will go back to Sunday morning breakfasts out.
This is my second visit to this new Keke's. The first visit was much better. Food is good. Service is pretty good. Like I said...first time was better. This time I ordered the bacon extra crispy. It came all gnawy and chewy. Yuck. I didn't complain, but when the server took my plates and the bacon was sitting there uneaten, I mentioned how bad it was. When I got the check I was in disbelief when I saw the 1.99 bacon still on my check. Very disappointed.
Okay so I wanted to write a fair review since this trip was now my second visit at this keke's location. We arrived at 12:15 on a Sunday and had a normal wait time of 20 minutes. Once seated we took maybe 10 minutes to look over the menu and then placed our order..I ordered the coffee this go around and was disappointed..I know coffee at restaurants is sometimes hit or miss but I was hoping for something stronger.
