I work about 1 mile from the restaurant in Lakewood Ranch, but I love going there for lunch. Getting there is a little tough temporarily due to the construction, but it's always worth the trip. I love the food - I usually get the grilled portabella mushroom and the servings are huge! Way more than I can eat. The wait staff is exceptionally friendly. First place we stopped into after flying in on a red eye flight from California. We were all super crabby and hungry. This place provided amazing service first of all. The gentlemen who helped our family of 7 was extremely helpful and constantly checked in. Didn't have to wait for anything at all and was very impressed with his customer service. This place is everything I look for in a good breakfast joint: flexibility to mix and match menus options, delicious food, clean and welcoming atmosphere, and decent pricing. I had french toast, eggs, and fruit. The French toast was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside (just how I like it), eggs were cooked perfectly, and the fruit was actually seasonal berries, bananas, and oranges (not silly filler fruits like cantaloupe). Server was a little off putting but the restaurant is clean, and the food is absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back again or recommend this spot to a friend.

Food: Extremely limited selection for vegans. I had dry white toast with a side tomato. No dairy-free milks or nondairy creamer, so vegans can have black coffee or none at all (not having a dairy-free milk was shocking since 75% of the world's population is lactose intolerant and alternative milks are sold at every breakfast place I've visited before). A bit pricey but great portion sizes. I just love the potatoes. And the service was good as well. I had the mushroom & cheese omelet. I could eat there for breakfast every day they have such a variety.

Kekes was so good! My boyfriend and I stopped into this location and we were taken back by the size of this breakfast place. It was huge! We were greeted immediately by two hostess and sat almost immediately as well. They were so nice and asked how we were doing and if we were from out of town. Best breakfast I had in a while. The create your own omelette was delicious. The Apple cinnamon waffle was mouth watering. All the ingredients are fresh and made to order. Keke's is a one of a kind local secret. If you are visiting Sarasota make this your first stop for breakfast!!!
