Used to go to Keke's whenever we were in West Palm area, so I was excited to see one open up in South Tampa! Went on a Saturday afternoon close to 1pm and there was no wait. The service was great, and the restaurant was clean. There was even a nice patio area on the side of the building with plenty of seating in case there was a wait. Food was average at best. Pancakes were huge but way too thick and dry. Atmosphere was nice but the waitress was rushing us to leave. Overall, the experience and food were average.
Enjoyed a cheese steak omelet for the second time and once again it was great. Enough to eat some there and take some to go. Potatoes were great also
I was so excited when I heard that they were opening up a Keke's in South Tampa. Two important things to note before going: They don't serve grits or hash browns. We went at 10:30 on a Sunday morning and only had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, however when we left there was a much longer wait. In town for work , decided to stop in.....great place. I'm so glad I decided to skip breakfast at the hotel. I had the French toast with bacon and home fries, let me just say this was probably the best French toast I've had, even better than mine when I cook. Will definitely try to come by here next time I'm in Tampa.
Great food. My husband ordered these pancakes and we thought it was a cake. Lol And the workers are nice also
Great to have one in south Tampa, definitely will get more than you pay for. Staff was super friendly and helpful, kept checking on us to make sure we were good before and while we eating. Highly recommend this place if you can find a time they won't be busy.
I'm so glad Keke's Breakfast Cafe is open in South Tampa. I ordered the pecan waffle with whipped cream, scrambled eggs & bacon. My order came out super fast. My pecan waffle was light & full of pecans. The scrambled eggs was buttery & the bacon was great. My server, Dwayne was very attentive & the manager, Greg, was super friendly. I have only been to Keke's a few times & never disappointed.
First time at a keke's and I will definitely be back (soon)! We went during lunch time, but I had my heart set on breakfast. I went with the basic French toast and it was SO yummy. I asked for an extra side of powdered sugar, but didnt actually need it because they aren't shy with their sprinkle :) Kids' meals were perfectly sized portions and my kids loved it.
