A friend of mine raved about this place said that it was awesome, so after work he and I went. I gotta say that the hot chocolate was good topped high in whipped cream. As far as my food, I've had better food at Denny's. The bacon tasted like it was microwaved, and the meat in the omelet was cold. Won't be back I'll stay to my usual breakfast place (cracker barrel) place was too expensive for the little amount of food you get.
I've been to the Longwood location 6 or 7 times. one positive experience! one server was so stoned, she brought wrong food to 4 tables. one server brought us back wrong change then got mad when we called her on it. one was so surly, we were afraid of her! one male server was great, professional. food is so so. will NEVER return. hope it goes out of business soon and a decent place replaces it. and what's with the teeny plates loaded with eggs and potatoes? stupid, stupid. Wanted a decent breakfast and my wife always raved about KeKe's. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and she had a waffle. The food was delivered fairly prompt but when I cut open my eggs for the benedict they were hard boiled. I sent them back and waited while I watched my wife eat. The first time I came to Keke's, it was an all around 5 star experience. The second time, it was about a 4. But the last time,... ohhh the last time... it was more like a 2. Our family has always been huge fans of Keke's cafe, and it has always been our "go-to" place, for family brunches. Well I see there are three other Keke's in the Orlando area and they are paired on your list with First Watch which also has multiple locations in my area. I like neither restaurant for a variety of reasons. But this review is about Keke's in Altamonte. I think this place has been open about a year in this location. I did not get a favorable impression upon entering. The coffee was like dirty water, so weak I thought it was tea. The waffles were wet, dense and rubbery. I needed a knife just to cut through mine. The waitress was very friendly.
Definitely not going here again. The food was meh... I had the pecan banana caramel french toast with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. While the scrambled eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked the french toast was not good at all. It was thick and dry and the only redeeming quality was the caramel and banana on top. I give Keke's 2 stars only because the food was good. Although the food was good, it was extremely expensive for what it was. Expect to be upcharged for any modifications and you may even get charged extra for something that you did not request. Personally, when I go to breakfast, I like to drink coffee and usually more than one cup. We received our first cup and had to motion to the waitress for a refill after sitting with empty mugs for 10 minutes.
