Always enjoy dining at LaStrada, however, the reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 was because of the loud rambunctious accordion player's music. Usually, in the past, they had a nice little gentleman play the accordion with Mostly soft and romantic melodies, many were beautiful Italian songs. The new accordion player, plays loudly what I thought sounded like merry-go-round music, and songs like Roll Out the Barrel, etc. He plays too loudly and not delicately as he should for people dining. I am sure he doesn't realize it,... read more

This was the first time I had eaten at this restaurant. It cam highly recommended at a recent event I attended. We took my Italian mother, age 84, to eat there for our parents anniversary. The food was outstanding; however we were seated relatively close to the kitchen prep area so that was the only draw back. It was very difficult for my mother to hear from the background noise. The food was outstanding; but very expensive by the time we had dessert and coffee, but the servings were good so I was able to take 1/2 my meal ho... read more

I've eaten at La Strada numerous times and the food is always fabulous and the service is always good. We had 3 couples for my husband's birthday and the location of the table was horrible. It was a round table set up in a archway leading to the back dining area. Two of our party were jostled every time a server had to move from the main dining area to the back room. I made the reservations for 5pm which is when the restaurant opens and is rarely busy at that time. There were many other tables where they could have seated us... read more

We go to La Strata for pasta and wine. They have a good selection of both. Early bird specials or dinner and show specials are both good deals.

We made reservations at La Strada for our one year wedding anniversary. We were greeted and seated by a very pleasant man who explained what "La Strada" meant and how the restaurant was designed around its name. Our waiter, Dennis, was very attentive and prompt. The breadsticks were amazing, and the mushroom ravioli appetizer was FANTASTIC (and I don't even care for mushrooms all that much). My husband and I both ordered the Chicken Alfredo. It was very good and a very, very large portion; there was PLENTY to take home. The ... read more

We ate at La Strada some months ago and our food was dry and the meat was overcooked. We were given a recovery dinner and did come back to try it again 8 months later and we are glad that we did. The food and service was wonderful. We will definitely keep coming back now that we had a meal that was the usual known quality of this wonderful restaurant.

Hello, I took my wife to your restaurant for her birthday on 9-24-13. I sent an e-mail asking if you had any birthday cake available not knowing if anyone would really read my message, but to my surprise after we had dinner your staff came to our table with a sherbert and blueberry dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday to my wife in italian!! I just want to thank you again for a great dining experience,Bruce Castro.

We have been to La Strada many times and returned for our 45th wedding Anniversary dinner. The service was pleasant and efficient as usual and the Vodka martini was perfect. Our dinner, for the first time, was a disappointment. We ordered Risotto and Seafood. The scallops were delicious and cooked just right ; but the risotto was simply long-grained rice cooked in broth. Actual Arborio rice cooked to a creamy richness cannot be a mystery for an Italian chef. What has happened?

We had planned on dining there in August for my birthday, but the Rim Fire caused us to cancel our reservation and to rebook three weeks later. When I told our waiter what had happen, at the end of our dinner six waiters and the manager came out and sang Happy Birthday in Italian. What a treat. I will not forget this. Will be back again next time we are in Reno....
