Dined at lappLa Strada for Xmas dinner. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was superb and the service was flawless!
LA STRADA is a mid-range Italian restaurant situated in Reno's Eldorado resort/casino. Normally the service, food and service are excellent. Our last visit was on Christmas Eve, a very busy night as most local, independent restaurants are closed. That night, the food was still good, but not as good as expected.
The mushroom raviolis are delicious. The service was excellent. Here would be my only complaint - got the $40 sampler dish and left hungry. The entrée was a tiny taste of steak on one side or the plate and a tiny salmon on the other - certainly well presented, but very small. Some risotto or pasta or something else was missing - $40 for that was definitely not worth it.
We have been going there for several Years for Birthday. This was at their "early bird time" Food is great but this time, the service was slow, and the waiter was not attentive.
Typical great meal at the Eldorado. Just cannot beat La Strada for consistent great meal, service, and all around dining experience. Our group of 8 was greeted warmly by the hosts and meal service by Chris as perfect, as always. We look forward to our return.
Just wonderful! We had the Chef's Menu and it was outstanding.......the porcini mushroom ravioli was amazing and the salmon was easily the best I've ever had! Service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves......Looking forward to our next visit!
The service is both professional and non-intrusive. The menu items are well prepared and tasty. It's a place where a guest can have "an experience" instead of just a meal.
As a fairly recent transplant to Reno, I am well aware of the great "foodie" movement here. But, I did not know that it could be argued the whole movement began at La Strada. I paid homage to this by ordering the hand made mushroom ravioli. It was a perfect entree following the Caesar salad (with whole white anchovies) and before the cannoli! Side vegetables of spinach and asparagus were perfect accompaniments to the ravioli. A bottle of Bocelli prose co completed the experience. I will be back ...
