My guests and I all had the chef's tasting menu. 4 courses for $40 and each course was excellent. The chef changes his selections on a daily basis depending on what fresh items he has. He can also customize it slightly based on a diner's preferences. Portions were adequate. Wine selection is good and prices are reasonable. Our waiter, Chris, was outstanding.
Outstanding!! Had minor problem when we first arrived, the server did not see us, but the host asked if we had been served, he took a complimentary drink order and the server was immediately there and extremely apologetic. He was outstanding the rest of the evening.
My husband and I were celebrating my birthday in Reno. LaStrada was recommended to us by a friend who is in the restaurant business. I looked it up on line and saw that the restaurant offered a chef's choice meal, I booked a table for us. Chris our waiter assured us that whatever was served was going to be a treat. Excellent service and wonderful food. Good selection of wine with several very reasonable choices. What more could one ask?
My girlfriend and I had a very enjoyable dinner. Both the food and service were fantastic. We started off with the Prosciutto Wrapped Prawns & Mushroom Ravioli for the appetizer. The other reviews were correct that the Mushroom Ravioli was so good! For the main course we had the Seafood "Del Pescatore" and Fettuccine Alfredo. I would highly recommend both. We have eaten at LaStrada many times and have not been disappointed in the food, presentation and the service. We have taken between 4 to 16 friends there and all have raved over their meals.
We chose the Chef's Special Tasting Menu and it was fabulous!!! I will be back and do the tasting menu again. It was a truly enjoyable experience with delicious food!
One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever experienced. The food was quite good and the servers very helpful. We will certainly visit La Strada in the future!
