The food was wonderful but it was extremely noisy. My husband could not even hear me across the table. Thats our favorite restaurant so when we are in Reno we will still eat there.
We had been to the restaurant last year and had a great time and meal. This year not so good. We invited our children for the third anniversary and it was not so great. We each had something different so we could try each others. But the veal was dry, the chicken was dry also. The kids had fish, and beef. They like theirs. We did have the mushroom ravioli and they were wonderful. Service was very good. The desert was very good. All in all the food was 50/50.
We have been dining at La Strada for several years now while attending the Reno Air Races. We have always had wonderful service and fabulous food & wine.
Evano continues to be one of my favorite chefs.
As resort restaurants go La Strada is top notch. Attentive yet not overbearing service, good classic menu preparations in a cozy atmosphere that would be the envy of many a restaurant anywhere. Definitely a top notch Reno restaurant that I would recommend to anyone.
The veal was very poor and the seafood was average

We had a table seated next to the kitchen. Very noisy from all the cooking and conversations between the cooks and waiters. In my reservation I said it was a birthday celebration. Nothing was asked or brought up during our meal. Not sure if the wait staff was short handed on a Saturday night. Our waiter spent very little time with us. Only seen him 1. Bill for 2 people, before tip was $185. 1 glass of wine, 1 cocktail, 1 charcuterie board, 1 caprese salad, 1 Mushroom Ravioli, 1 steak, 1 tiramisu. Drinks were good, appetizer was good, salad was good, Ravioli was lacking flavor, and not as good as in the past. Steak was disappointing, cooked properly, but ruined by pre-slicing the steak before it had time to rest (shouldn't be pre-sliced), leaving it drier than it should have been, rapidly cooled, and tough. I don’t understand the high ratings. We had the recommended calamari and shrimp fried appetizer, the bolognese pasta, and lasagna. The calamari and shrimp were not crispy at all and a big disappointment. The bolognese was just ok. The pasta was stuck together and the meat sauce was bland. The lasagna was just ok, too. We will not return.
