Get directionsDad and I had given Mum nine months intensive care and attendance due to vascular dementia. As a family, we felt that due to the deterioration of her condition she would be better in full-time care. Like other families, this has been a very difficult and upsetting time. She was admitted to Lakeview Lodge for a months assessment/respite. She is so well, nourished and cared for, that the placement is now permanent. We feel so happy with the care, attention and efficiency from the staff that a difficult decision has been made e... read more
As a member of the medical profession, I have had cause to visit many care homes. I have never been in one that is as good as this. Every aspect of my Mother's care has been of the highest standard - both for her physical and mental welfare. The standard of the rooms is exemplary. Walking into this 'home,' you feel 'at home'.
Very Good.
Having relocated my mum and brother to Lakeview Lodge, I am so pleased to see how easily they settled and how happy they are. The community areas are always occupied with residents and staff, where they all interact and enjoy each others company. The staff are all excellent, providing a high standard of care and support to residents and their family. Residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities, providing them with a good balance of exercise and entertainment. The home is located in a new development ar... read more
Before deciding on a care home for my mother, we visited 3 local homes. We are pleased that we visited Lakeview last as this far outshone everything that we had seen, to us it gives the appearance of a hotel, all staff caring and friendly. My mother has settled in very quickly and is very happy we made the right choice.
Dad has settled in very well and enjoys the activities and routine. All the carers are lovely and look after him very well. The food is good and the home is spotless. Well done to everyone.
From the moment we contacted Lakeview Lodge (looking for a suitable care home for my mother), we received a very warm, friendly and professional service. My mother was understandably apprehensive about leaving her family home and moving into a residential home, but the support she received from the management and staff was excellent. She has now been at Lakeview for 3 months and has settled in extremely well. All the staff are incredibly caring and supportive and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a very modern relaxed enviro... read more
Mum says she is happy we have found her a nice place in which to live. She is particular, liking cleanliness and order. Mum may have lost her memory, but she hasn’t lost her sensibilities. It’s expensive, no doubt. To see mum relaxed and eating well, it must be worth the nightmare of seeing her capital deplete. I think it is what dad would have wanted. She has made friends; she feels happy and safe. She feels ownership of her spacious room and bathroom. The staff are her friends and she is proud of where she lives. When we... read more
Lakeside Lodge Care Home is a very pleasant residential home. The staff cannot do enough for you lovely people, the food is very good I have put on weight in the time I have been there three weeks. They have plenty of activities for the residents and most join in. I have no complaints at all and look forward to another 4 week stay in a few weeks after further surgery.
