More than twice they have turned down my dogs for an emergency, and they were active patients of the practice. I will no longer be taking my pups to this facility.
NEVER, NEVER use this place. I would give a negative rating if possible. I dropped of my 1 1/2 year old dog, Dash, while we went on vacation over the 2016 holiday break. Prior to dropping him off, he was checked by their in house vet. During the visit with the in house vet, they sedated Dash, as they claimed he was anxious. It must have been alarming, as a pet parent, to see Dash so unwell and unlike the playful pup you know at home. My wife and I have been bringing our three cats to Levittown Animal Hospital since 2009. The service there has been excellent...when Dr. Leon and Dr. Fuentes were our primary doctors. If this review would have taken place anytime in the past 6 years I would have given the hospital a five-star rating. After Dr. Leon and Dr. Fuentes left, the practice has changed for the worse. The doctor was not thorough enough with her exam. My dog was brought in for vomitting and loss of appetite. X-rays were done but there was no blood work done. The doctor believed that there was a blockage but the next day confirmed there was no longer any blockage and sent us home with some anti nausea medication and told us to watch the dog for the next 2 weeks. I brought in my 18 year old cat to have an ingrown claw taken care of in January. It went fine, and I was told that in the future, I could bring him in to have his nails trimmed without going through the whole ordeal of an exam - just make an appt with the vet tech and it would be a simple experience all around. This animal hospital does not care about our pets. My dog got hurt in the snow. I called for an appointment and because I could only pay $200 until I got paid they refused to treat her or even look at her. They didn't even know what the bill would be. I've been with Dr. FUNK 10 YEARS. He was off so Dr. Nunez refused to see her. This place was voted the best on L.I. HA. It's all about $$$$$. My poor girl was hurt. I got a stranger to check her out. Dr. Nunez is OK, but the staff in general is incompetent, rude and stupid.
I had used levittown animal hospital for years, for my labrador Alf R.i.p. had him for 161/2 yrs. now I have a new furry friend Dempsey a boxer and Cooper the cat. When I purchased Dempsey the new owner of the above business not the same veterinarian that started Levittown animal hospital Dr.kaplin past away he's truly cared for animals not this new owner he cares about making money he SUCKS don't use him he should find a different profession !

Stay away from this trap! Your bill will be padded for high priced extras that you most likely don't even need. Paid $300-$400 for a routine check up, and didn't know the price of anything until checking out up front. I don't trust this place at all after that encounter. Rip Off!~
