I recently switched over to the Levittown Animal Hospital and couldn't be happier. My only regret is that I didn't know about how great they were until recently. I have a Wheaton Terrier who is turning 6 years old on Christmas Day and she is a very shy sweet dog. Dr. Funk as well as Dr. Nunez have treated her with incredible and genuine care. Saw Dr. Grayson Sunday as the regular doctors weren't in. He was really good. I liked him a lot. Handled my cat very well who generally doesn't like to be held, and even gave her kisses. I loved that! I have been using the animal hospital since 1993 and they always have great doctors. Love Drs. Nunez, Fuentes and Funk
Wow, I just don't know where to start! Let's start with Dr. Michael Funk, DVM. My two 12 year old cats needed a new vet in a hurry after a final and last terrible experience with my previous longtime vet recently taken over by VCA. My cats needed a teeth cleaning in addition to some extractions. Unfortunately my dog Kayla was not doing well. She was 15 years old. Last Friday I knew that the dog was suffering and I didn't want her to be in pain any longer. I didn't want to wait until Monday, so I called Levittown Animal Hospital on Sunday and made an appointment to see the Vet. I knew going in that it was a great chance Kayla wouldn't return home with us. My wife me me at the hospital and we met with the Vet. At this point there was nothing that could be done for our dog. Dr. Funk is the best veterinarian around. He really cares about your pet, and what's great is that he cares about you, the pet parent. He takes the time to make sure you are OK with any questions and concerns about the health and care of your pet. I recommend this animal hospital to anyone who loves their pet as much as I do.
Dr. Nunez and his assistants are wonderful and caring. All vets are pricey so get ready to pony up the money. The front staff is lacking many things and I'm quite surprised at their lack of kindness. Not the best type of attitudes you want to greet you.If it wasn't for Dr. Nunez, the front staff would have left me running to another vet.

My Pekingese was a patient of Levittown Animal Hospital from 2003-March 2014. I have always had a pleasant experience at this vet. I read the other reviews. I agree they can be a little pricey but knowing my dog was in excellent care was worth it to me. My dog had 3 slipped discs between 2005-2008 (common for the breed) and each time Dr Leon properly diagnosed him, showed concern and even called the emergency hospital to have him admitted asap. I am so happy this office is in my town. Everyone there is amazing from the front desk, to the vet techs, to the very caring doctors. I feel that my "babies" are in good hands here. I feel that the staff really cares about my dogs and are not just out to pick my pockets. Today I called because my dog was in a lot of pain and I did not know why. I was told to come in right away.
