Date 7-24-2020 This morning apx 10:00 AM i spoke to the office by phone from the animal Hospital parking lot, as you are not allowed inside because of Covid 19. I spoke to a young lady who picked up the phone about receiving a credit for an invoice for a dog named Petey .I was informed she will give my cell number to the office manager and i would receive a phone call shortly. horrible horrible horrible!! if i could give minus 5 stars i would!! i have been asking how much for my female cat spay...and i have 2 cats so i asked for a multi pet break/discount. nope! they don't believe in that!! i was finally told about $300 each which is max what i wanted to spend, and which is a fair price around at different local vets. this place was close by so i figured i would go here... i was told different things by different workers everytime i called...completely disorganized and some workers downright... read more
I've been a customer for a few years. I fine them friendly and good with my pets. Lately I have been feeling like I am over paying for treatments and get very little communication of why. There is a lot of options around and I'm thinking that they really don't offer anything premium that justifies the higher cost.
Best veterinarian ???? I never have written a review before and the reason I am writing one now is to try to help someone avoid the mistake I made. I went to Dr. Funk only because he won best veterinarian on Long Island for several years in a row. Unfortunately, I did not research any further. This place is so Uncaring & charge for things not needed! They are responsible for the death of my little dachshund! Dr Meltzer gave her Zenequin antibiotics. He was adamant about cleaning her teeth, which I specifically said "NO"!!! I went for blood work to see how her liver was (she use to see Dr Wen for this diagnosis) Well ZENQUIN KILLED HER AFTER HER 2nd day on them!!! Overpriced, pushy and refused to send vet records twice so that I could board my dog elsewhere. When I called the second time the receptionist started pushing me to come in for a follow up visit "since it's been six months and we only saw your dog once". I replied I'd only just adopted him which is why they'd only seen him once and that I was going away soon and would consider bringing him in when I got back but that I really just needed the records to board my dog please. This is the second time and is a follow up on my experience with Levittown Animal Hospital. I was not able to continue on the previous review the this hospital so I'm following up by saying that I had to return to the hospital since my puppy still had an infection in her eye after using their recommended and subscribed ointment. When I returned the doctor said my dog needed a different ointment and gave me a prescription for the new ointment. My dog had a scheduled check up visit yesterday and the waiting room was packed when we got there. My dog was overly anxious and barking and yiping so my husband took her outside to wait in the beaming sun. After waiting over 40 minutes past our appointment time and watching people come in after me and get called in before us I decided to cancel the appointment and leave and they didn't even care that we were leaving. I was taking my one year old puppy here and had to change vets. The doctor I wanted to see was never there. When I had an appointment, I would never be seen on time. Literally, not even once. The staff at the front desk are rude and unhelpful. This place needs a manager and some patient experience classes.
