Get directionsThis is my first experience of respite care and necessitated by a lengthy period of isolation between hospital procedures and the necessity for help with transport to and from hospital appointments. All my requirements have been handled in a professional, caring and supportive way. I am encouraged to use my call button for any need, big or small, and the response time is reassuringly short. Nothing is too much trouble. My ground floor room has access to outside space and puts me in mind of a comfortable hotel rather than my ... read more

Thank you for such a lovely review, Julie, you are a delight to care for and we would have you back at Leycester House any time! The team are so very grateful for your feedback and to know they are doing such a wonderful job. Thank you again, Tracy.
Moving our lovely mum into a care home during this dreadful pandemic was a heart-wrenching decision but the love and care she has received at Leycester House has been second to none. Mum spent time on the residential floor before needing to move to full nursing care and the staff on both floors have given such amazing care and it is obvious that they form very special relationships with each of the residents. Nothing is too much trouble even though Mum's care is now quite challenging. As a family, we can always ensure a frie... read more

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, the whole team very much appreciate the kind words. We are very happy your mum is part of the Leycester House family and as such is much loved by the team. Thank you again.
When it was necessary for Dad to receive nursing care in 2017, Mum promised him the best because he deserved the best, and Leycester House didn't disappoint. It was clear that Dad was in good hands from day one, and we were all made to feel most welcome when we visited. Provision of delicious refreshments, and being able to share special family occasions together with Dad was so important. We appreciated so many things, including the provision of transport to appointments and favourite places, and the little things that adde... read more

Last year we realised that our mum needed to move to a care home, unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions we were unable to visit anywhere. A friend highly recommended Leycester House as her uncle had lived there. From all the initial emails and phone calls and visits with the manager and deputy manager, we realised this was a special place. Our mum moved in last July and even though we have been unable to spend time within the home, getting to know the place and the people, the level of communication and care from everyone... read more

Thank you very much for your lovely review. We are so lucky to be able to care for your wonderful mum.
From the moment our extended family met together with the manager when Dad had become acutely unwell we immediately felt we were in safe hands. We were comforted emotionally, impressed and reassured by the professional and clinical approach, but were mostly impressed by the experienced, patient and kind care extended towards our dear Dad and other family members. This approach did not falter, ever. Every member of staff, from administrative to catering, cleaning, care and nursing staff were professional, kind and friendly to... read more

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and feedback Melita. Your father is missed very much and it was a pleasure to care for him. I am very glad you felt so well looked after as a family and I will be sure to feed this back to my team. Take care, Linda.
My father became a resident of Leycester House for the latter years of his life. The standard of care provided was excellent, and the facilities/environment of the home cannot be faulted. Whilst not wishing to single people out, I would particularly pay tribute to the team members working on the top floor. Their dedication to their work, and the upholding of the highest standards of care possible, during an extremely difficult period of time has been exceptional, and always with a smile, a laugh and a joke which is incredibl... read more

Following the recent passing of my mother who had been a resident in Leycester House for 3 years I would comment as follows: From the moment Mum went into the home we knew she was extremely well cared for and valued. All the staff worked hard to help her settle in and for the last 3 years, she has been very happy. Residents are encouraged to take part in the many and varied activities, although if they would rather be quiet then that is fine, as their wishes are always respected. The home is a beautiful place to be with love... read more

Your mother was a very special lady; truly missed by all of us here at Leycester House, and caring for her was a pleasure. I will ensure the team receive this wonderful feedback; I know they will be touched by this review. Take care
At one stage I was under the impression that all care homes were very much the same. This is defiantly not the case. Leycester House is a very special place. My father was at Leycester House for a limited period of time, but I was taken on a conducted tour of this home 12 months prior to his admission. On his discharge from hospital, there was only place I wanted him to go to, and Leycester House was it. First impressions do count. All staff (and I do mean all) were so helpful and comforting with Dad, and were always very su... read more

This is a very honest, genuine review. Leycester House has provided an excellent, professional, nurturing environment for my parents. Unfortunately, my family and I had to say goodbye to my wonderful dad on Christmas Eve. The end of life care my dad received was excellent. The staff provided a supportive, kind, respectful environment to ensure my dad had a dignified, peaceful death. They continue to support my mum during this very sad time which I know she is extremely appreciative off, as are her family. These are unprecede... read more
