They were polite on the phone when I asked for a price quote and made my dog's grooming appointment. They told me to bring proof of rabies vaccination to the appointment which I did. BUT then I was denied because my dog didn't have a kennel cough vaccine! They never told me this on the phone the week before when I booked the appointment. They apologized and I left with my dog. If my dog can be exposed to kennel cough at a groomer's this isn't the place for us! It is probably because they board dogs there and your dog could b... read more
I called to see if they could identify the worms in a can of wellness core dog food that I opened...I have a regular vet the dogs see yearly but it is a little far away, I didn't ask them for anything else except to identify worms...they refused without seeing the dogs, uh it happened yesterday, you will not find worms in the stool yet and why would I pay you $60 a dog just tell me what worms are in the can so I can go buy wormer at the store?? This vet is extremely money hungry and not willing to help the local community w... read more
The office staff and nurses are very friendly and have called to confirm appointments/ follow-up with us on exams. We have seen most of the vets there and had good experiences. They were very loving to our fur baby. However, I suggest you avoid any appointments with Dr. Gellatly. She is EXTREMELY unprofessional and robotic with her interactions and conversations. She acts as though she hates her job and is just going through the motions. She seems more like a sales person for medication than a vet who loves and genuinely car... read more
I was extremely disappointed at the staff at this animal hospital. I'm a first time cat mom. I brought my recently adopted cat over because he was having some weird twitches and his eye was red. I took a video of the twitches and showed to the doctor (I wish I remembered her name - it was a blonde lady) to see if she could have any idea of what was happening. I was literally in tears because I could tell my cat was in distress and he was not being himself. As I was bawling watching the video, her and the vet tech started LA... read more
Sadly I wasted valuable time with a sick reptile at Loving care. I requested the reptile specialist and was given Dr. Carlson the owner who had ZERO clue to this common reptile problem so I told her to google it. She kept misdiagnosing, I called the reptile specialist who agreed to see me there, but his exam was rushed and he told me to stop medicating the problem. My lizard got worse, I found a different reptile specialist who was SPOT ON, The new vet properly tested for the problem which was never done at Loving care, and ... read more
We just adopted a little kitten that still needed to be neutered. We received a Neuter Certificate from the Buddy Foundation and we made an appointment with Loving Care. We asked in advance about all the extra costs as we didn't want to be surprised with extra charges when we showed up. They told us, after consulting with other people working there, that there would be no extra charges. I guess you can guess where this is going: I arrived this morning at the clinic, and they started mentioning extra costs: blood work: $57 o... read more
