This is a hidden treasure in San Antonio. We have lived in Italy and find the food here to be authentic. The gnocchi and pizza are fabulous. And don't forget the extensive wine list. The wines are as good as it gets in the city.

I've gone to the Flying Saucer quite a few times without noticing Luce, but (through Yelp) we found this nice local place. In price it's comparable to Brio. For appetizers & desserts, you'll pay about $5-9 and about $20 for entrees. At those prices, we won't become regulars, but the food was good enough that we'll be back to try other dishes. We recently went to Luce for a family celebration. The food was good but not terrific. Some dishes were really good but the fish special was only ok, not particularly flavorful but the presentation was very nice. The children's menu could use some help. Most younger kiddos like a traditional spaghetti that they are familiar with.
It is always a pleasure to dine at Luce. The food is always good, they have a great selections of wines and it has a great atmosphere.
This was my first time here...but won't be my last. Food was very good, served in a timely manner, & the service was great! Wasn't expecting such a pleasant atmosphere located in a corner of a strip-mall, but was delighted with the entire dining experience. Although an Italian restaurant, I had their Eddie's Delmonico steak. Better than most actual steak house restaurants.
The special was wild boar and it was wonderful.
What a great find iin North San Antonio, really good italian with great service and excellant foood. From the appetizers to the entrees great selection and fresh. I had the shreimp appetizer in a garlic sauce, very nice. Was going to have the shellfish medley, but saw the Osso Busco, the rest is history
Second time we tried it. First time was great food and bad service. This time it was great food with impeccable service. They really know what they're doing and even made me an off the menu vegetarian dish.
