Do not recommend if you have dark hair and want neatly applied, professional looking hair color. Forgot to apply stain protector and had to be reminded. And stained the top of my forehead with brown hair color. They were able to remove some of it after a lot of rubbing with chemicals but now I have a very uneven stained hairline that looks sloppy. I could not get them on the phone to make an appointment. I called several times and left a message every time. I consulted their on line calendar and no appointments were available all month! This business may be great but it's gone too far to the digital. If you are running a business, I'd like it if you would pick up the phone.

Got to my appointment, was offered something to drink and opted for their coffee. When it came to talking about my hair, I found the ad on Ig and says they can do balayage , they're not able to lift my hair to blonde like I wanted ,I was told they can only lift it to like an orange color and not like the ad shown on ig which was totally disappointing and a waste of my time

Where do I begin....i was so excited to find out that MR was opening up a location at the Stanford Mall. I was going to the Sunnyvale location for about 6 months in which I was not too happy about. Specifically, with their blow dry service. The hair brush that my technician used on me looked like a dog was chewing on it. Booked an appointment but they cancelled it though text message a few days before. Couldn't get through via phone, so tried to reschedule through texting where they let me know the next avaliable appointment was 3 weeks out. After confirming my preferred time they stopped texting me back even though I asked if my appointment was confirmed several times. Overall bad experience and I will book somewhere else.

I never give bad reviews but this place deserves one. I was booked for a 1 pm appointment I arrived at 1:10 exactly and they denied me service. I'm a mom, even making to the appointment is a big deal for anyone that's a mom, I am also pregnant 12 weeks but no call, no text and arriving 10 min right then she denied me service. I would think this company being run by women would understand how rare it is for someone to find time to book an appointment or at least give you 15 min gap like any restaurant, or the minimum text ... read more

This was going to be my first experience with Madison Reed, and it was exciting to stop into the shop and buy a box of color. But when I got home, I saw that no instructions were included! So I called the phone number that came up in my google search to ask about instructions. I had to wait 25 long minutes until someone picked up. This is for negative stars. I called prior week and confirmed an appointment which I adjusted my Sunday for only to get just a caller id blocked call that went to voicemail less than 24 hours letting me know that the appointment was cancelled due to staffing issues and no call back number. I could of booked appointments elsewhere (now lost the opportunity) but thought I give Madison Reed a try since it was heavily advertised on Instagram.
