I have been coloring my hair from the start of pandemic lockdown, this brand makes home coloring easy, so many color choices that can blend in so many shades. I especially love it doesn't smell so bad nor give tingly scalp sensation so I feel better using it even when my kid is around. I am so used to coloring my own hair now, I save more time and money and now they open this shop so I can quickly grab my next kit without paying for shipping. It was my first time at a Madison reed location. I went in for full color and blow out. I let my hair stylist know that I hadn't dyed hair in like 15 years. I let her know I would like some red for spring/summer. My hair is a very dark black. She recommended the color and I asked will the color actually grab since my hair is so dark. She said it would. this was the worst experience I've ever had at any business. They are unorganized, kept me waiting to finish the blow dry. I waited 45 minutes for the person that started the blow dry. I could not wait any longer. The person that cashed me out yelled at me and said thete was nothing she could do. I tried to calm her down by saying shhh, she went crazy. Never go there. They have no idea what thete doing. The location is The Tustin market place.

Had a pretty terrible experience here when I took my mother here for a treat. They were very rough and when I picked her up-her color was everywhere. I had to fix her hair when she got home for our photos that night. Extra star for the kind manager and the refund. Will try another location to see if it's better elsewhere.

I've been 2 times now, and the person who did my hair those times was very nice! However, both times, she got color all over the place- my neckline, cheeks, forehead. It was a bit of a mess, and I was just thinking how sloppy it was. I would rather prefer someone who was a little more careful and neat. I was hoping this time it would have been better, but now I have a black stain on my cheek, which i know will go away, but its just so sloppy. I canceled my membership due to this. Horrible! My hair is red! When I walked in it was ash caramel. They guess the color on the iPad and then grossly add color to the hair, the whole they chatting across the room so loud my ears hurt! Sloppy wash my neck in the air the whole. I was in pain and all she said was...'are you okay?' Horrible experience. They don't know what they are doing. Very incompetent and unprofessional. Disgusting. Never again

Nothing more than the Walmart of hair salons. Trying to get someone to guess the color from an iPad and then someone slaps on the hair dye, leaves for the day, listen for your name as someone will call you when it's your turn to get washed, by the third person who clearly is fresh out of school and a blow dry was difficult and knows nothing about product who wanted to take a photo of my hair at the end I thought I was going to lose it!
