HORRIBLE SERVICE! I walked into Madison Reed thinking Id visit before scheduling an apt...so glad I did. First it had to of been 80 degrees in there and smelled like a garbage can. Two girls were doing hair and girl #1 said be right with you. I smiled and said all good. I then spent 5 min looking at the displays. They continued to talk each other and their clients. Oh boy. Where to begin. If you're reading this, you're already smarter than I was; you're reading the reviews. Hopefully *before* you go here. I came in on 9/14 for the first time. Worst haircare experience of my life. The colorist was so unhelpful guiding me through what I needed and which options would be best for me. She knew it was my first time and left me with a horrible marked line of mismatched color from my roots. The blow dry was horrible. She didn't even ring out or towel dry my hair before she started. I love the Madison Reed brand but the color bar... When I booked my appointment I was given an estimate of an hour and 45 minutes to complete the service. I came in at 3pm, my touch up was done at 330pm. There was only one colorist working and her assistant decided to go to lunch at 3:55pm when I thought I'd be on my way to get my hair washed. I don't normally leave yelp reviews as I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I can't emphasize enough how upset I am about my hair. I came in asking for ashy blonde, which my hair mostly was except my regrowth at the top of my hair. When I asked if that could be done, my colorist said, "I think we can do that?" I wish I could leave a good review, but they botched my hair. I came in to color the roots, they suggested I make it a bit lighter, I agreed, and they made it much darker. Same thing happened to a friend who went in. One problem is employees don't seem to understand that if your hair has been colored before, they should not take the new color all the way to the ends, because colored hair grabs color faster and can therefore get much darker at the ends. For the 1st 10 minutes I had a sales pitch and upsells. All I wanted was to have my gray roots covered and I kept telling her that. So far the coverage is good and my hair smells nice. However, I came home and saw that my face around the hair line is stained from the dye. My ears also have hair dye in them. It's a little sloppy. I had to scrub my face to remove the dye.
