Make Space Storage in Pender Harbour provided me with an excellent storage solution. Very helpful and friendly staff, and I highly recommend them!
Space was as expected. Unit was clean and pretty easy access. This facility is a bit dumpy, but not an issue as it was cheaper than the competition and thus expected. My problem…when I was finished with my unit, I texted and emailed Make Space Storage to inform them that I was finished with my unit and not to charge my credit card for the coming month (6 days before due date). I was charged for the next month and after repeated requests have not been reimbursed.
I had not signed a contract yet and they sent me a notice of late payment.
Reserved and paid for unit online. No one on location to give keys. Phone calls not returned. Location : Ottawa, Canotek Road. Stay away Ottawa people.

Was a great place until the original owners sold to this company Prices more than doubled and service dropped to non existent And the entry gates were always open. No security and when asked oh will be fixed in a day or so ! Not true at all ! Then they added mandatory insurance costs on top And the bookkeepers are a joke ! I was supposed to be givin a gate cote the date of moving in, and despite calling the number within business hours I got to return phone call. I could have packed my U-Haul for nothing and wasted a bunch of money if it wasn't for a stranger that helped.

Mixed up my account with someone else’s, made me believe I was in good standings and did not notify me (the say they did many times and mailed letters) stating that I was at risk of losing my unit. Allowed me to pay two invoices including the most recent one without notifying me of my unit being auctioned off. I show up to get some of my belongings and the unit is empty.
