Mandalay special noodles are the best
hectic but delicious
Tis stalwart of Burmese cuisine has gotten increasingly popular over the years, perhaps more so after it was highlighted on KQED's "Check Please". Years ago I would visit without a reservation - those days are over, especially on weekends. Tables are close. Food remains good, but served very fast, too fast.
Fun, happening place with Burmese food similar to an even more crowded place on Clement, nearby. Definitely worth the wait.

Very Good Burmese! The food is delicious! Not the cheapest, but worth it!! I wish they delivered.
Recently written up in the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the Burmese restaurants having a wonderful tea leaf salad. It's got a unique combination of ingredients that are mixed at the table and are delicious. Satays are great, too.
