Fresh, Tasty, and Excellent Service As a first time visitor to Mandalay, I was more than happy to take recommendations from my business associate who took me here as well as the hostess -- I have to say, they were all excellent choices. From the vegetarian Egg Roll, to the Basil Spicy Pork and the Tea Leaf Salad, this meal was excellent. Even the Tangerine...
Excellent food Get the tea leaf or ginger salad and jasmine blossom tea.
Excellent alternative to Burma Superstar Probably if you're seeking out Burmese food in San Francisco, you've come across Burma Superstar and are deciding to wait in like 2 hours to try their food soon....don't. This place is just as good, same price, and when we went on a Friday night (I'll be honest this was 2 years ago, and I'm just now reviewing it) there...
First time Burmese food--I like it Nov 7, 2011 This place according to the articles framed in the storefront and reception area has been around a long time. That's surprising since this was my first time there and I've lived in the Richmond district. The place is not the spiffiest or neatest, but we were busy studying what the others were eating or deciding what to...
good , but did not meet my maybe too high expectations. Have to admit there was some disappointment. Best items: the samusas and the green tea salad...both get an A. Special noodle, which people rave about was not a rave for me...B Rainbow salad...B- Pork pumpkin stew....B. Bread...A- Service very slow in beginning but picked up as progressed. I'll probably try the other...
Decent but not impressed. 2 ppl = $30 for lunch w/ hot tea Decided to forgo our favorite, very inexpensive Vietnamese spot on Clement to try this place out for lunch and I was not impressed. I ordered the Singapore noodles / completely bland, no zing and too oily, my husband got a breaded and fried chicken dish (can't remember the name of the dish) / which was flavorful, but there wasn't much...
ALWAYS LOVE THIS GREAT SPOT I love this tasty restaurant in the Richmond district!!! The service is always great and they treat us like family!! Love the Tea Leaf Salad, Samusa Soup, and all there chicken dishes!!! The decor is unique, it's a local favorite, and quite delicious!!!!
Great food, excellent service Our first experience with Burmese cuisine. It will not be our last. The best meal we had in SF. Be sure to try the tea leaf salad.
My friend and I visited on a Friday night around 8. The wait was about 5 minutes, which wasn't bad at all considering the popularity of this place. Sadly, we weren't impressed. The pork stew was...
