Purchased a range from the gents down at Marcella's. I worked with both Johnny and James in the process who couldn't have provided better service. You get the sense you are doing business with real people rather than employees. The delivery was prompt, the pricing was competitive and they made it easy from start to finish.
Amazing service. Best prices. I've always bought from Marcella's and have met John the owner in passing. Today in his store while we were buying a refrigerator he stopped to chat and invited Rich and I to get spumoni and lemon ices at Civitello's Bakery. Besides lemon ice, Mr. Marcella shared information about the history of his company and lots of interesting things about buildings in Schenectady. Great afternoon.... wonderful local business!
I was lead to believe that I bought the stove in the an induction oven, but in fact recieved a non-induction and lesser model! Classic bait and switch, then played it off like I'm crazy even though I went and bought new pots and pans for the induction range, even asked if my cast iron pans would work. Now they want me to pay more!! Very sleezy!

High End Appliances - Low End Customer Service Summary: try and look elsewhere if you can. We ordered all new appliances from the Schenectady, NY store for our kitchen renovation and the ordering process was very smooth. However once they got our final payment and were arranging delivery things started to take a turn. Stay Away!!! Awful experience, warranty service is a joke. After months of getting the run around and multiple phone call between the store the warranty company and the manufacturer. We finally thought our two year old refrigerator was going to be repaired . After the “technician” installed our new door, the problem still isn’t fixed, nor was it when he left our home. We built a new home during 2020-2021, and we were assigned to work with a Marcella’s salesman, Tim, by our builder. Right out the gate, Tim’s approach was condescending and arrogant, and in particular this seemed to be an issue he has with women. While we were at an initial appointment with him, Tim told me that the pricing was on the website when I asked for pricing on 2 appliances. What terrible service we’ve had. Spent multiple thousands of dollars and purchased ALL our new house appliances here when we built. TERRIBLE choice. They do not back their products and will apparently sell garbage with a shiny sticker on it. Update: Marcellas has since been out twice to fix this issue. It is currently in working order and we’re hoping it can remain that way 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I tried to buy a gas range from Marcella’s. They’re local, they aren’t big box, their prices are okay. And the delivery guys came when they said they would. So far, so good. The delivery driver came in and looked at the path I had cleared to get the 30” range from the front door into the kitchen ... and yes, there is enough room to bring in the range. Sorry to hear of your experience. I was informed a full refund was issued as of yesterday to you. It can take a few days to show in your bank so you can check in with them. But it has been issued. What we were told by the driver was that the area was unsafe and unsanitary for delivery/install. Again we apologize for the experience and the full refund has been issued.
