I had my floors installed and noticed a number of issues following the completion. I contacted Jim at Mercer and it took almost a week before they bothered to get back. Jeff came out, took a look and agreed that there were problems. When they came out to fix the problems, they did not finish the work and actually made one area worse. Excellent selection. Quality installation team. The rest of the interactions did not meet my expectations. I would not recommend this business to friends or family.
Horrible company with horrible customer service. I see Jim Farrell wrote a review in July 2019 and he is the owner! That’s why I believe all their 5 star reviews are fake. I had hardwood and new, wide baseboards put on my first floor. Not only were all my walls nicked, scraped with black marks and dented, I was getting my house painted at the same time and Mercer asked me 3 times to have my painter do the spackeling and fix the mess they made. If I could give no stars I would. I ordered hardwood for my entire first floor and also nice, wide baseboards that were installed at the end of July. I had to work and was not present during the installation except for 1 day. The process took 4 days to complete. The primary person who did the installation was Jeff, who I was told has been with the company for 36 years, and another person who I am not sure of his name. I will NEVER buy carpet from Mercer Floors again. The prices for the brands they offer are much too high. I purchased $9,000 of Mohawk carpeting with a 25 year warranty from Mercer five years ago but the carpet has already worn out. Mohawk was contacted and after the carpet was inspected, they would not honor the warranty. I cannot spend $9000 every five years for new carpet.
