Disappointment Having been to Mesh numerous times, I was excited about entertaining my out-of-town guest with an evening at the restaurant. My food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the meat/cheese board. I was served only one small piece of cheese and the prosciutto was very dry and tough, hardly edible.
Mesh portions skimpy Mesh is a beautiful restaurant and bar. Everything was very good including our service. My only complaint is the portion size for the snapper. Three of us ordered the snapper and two of the three portions were so small--literally maybe 6 bites. Also, it was served skin side up so not real appealing to the eye. The snapper said it came with fingerling potatoes and spinach. One fingerling potato at most was sliced around the snapper and it was dressed with a little fresh spinach and cherry tomatoes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME I have been contemplating the nicest way to say how this restaurant made me feel. This is what I have come up with- I have not had "fast food" in many years but if they had taken my order then driven to McDonald's to get food and served me that for $70 I would've been more satisfied than I was with the sorry excuse for a meal that I was actually served. The food was bland. Both the appetizer and scallop entree were bland. The feature dish was a ribeye and it was smothered in so much sauce that the ribeye couldn't shine. Even the chocolate dessert was dry. The Mesh salad was the only thing worth returning for.
Disappointing Very disappointing experience at Mesh. Food looked nice but was bland and unexciting. My spouse's fish - which was the special of the evening - was dry, tough, and nearly tasteless. She complained about it and the waitress offered to get her another entree, but she declined and just shared mine. Waitress still charged us for uneaten entree. Service was the worst, my food was dry and had no flavor! Very disappointed! We had been looking forward to dining at Mesh for a long time, don't think we will go back!
