We have consistently had a terrible experience with the service. On this occasion, the server never shared his name. My mom had to ask for a lime at least three times before it was finally brought over by the manager. Our salads weren't brought out before the meal arrived, so they took our meal and sat it back on the table in front of the kitchen. Terrible service We took an out-of-town friend to Mesh last Friday evening and had one of the worst dining experiences in my memory. We eat out a lot and have been to Mesh 4 or 5 times before, but our service was the worst I remember ever having in Louisville. Starting with incorrect and lengthy wait for cocktails to screwing up the bill and everything in the middle. The atmosphere and surroundings were very nice but the food was lackluster and disappointing. Service was friendly but not as attentive as I would have expected.
This restaurant is decorated very modernly and is very vibrant and lively. The food however is just so-so. The Blue Dog Bread was the best part of the meal. The lobster bisque was acceptable. The tuna tartare was bland despite the a swirl of flavored condiment--Seasoning 101 could have been the best help for this dish. My shrimp and scallops were tough and I did not care for the seasoning. I eliminated the risotto and only had broccoli. The broccoli was not warm and was undercooked. The steak frites was overlooked, the salmon was good according to my husband and the lamb was ok. The salted Carmel pot de creme was delicious. Overall I was disappointed and I will not be back.
I had high hopes. Made reservations for a table for two for a date, and I absolutely regret it. I felt as if I was in a school cafeteria. They placed us next to two large family tables, each with loud, disruptive children. The lighting was absolutely horrible and most definitely added to the school cafeteria ambiance.
