Nice fast service got in and got out 30 minutes with dinner..it was almost as fast as filling up at the gas station.
Service was 1st rate! Food had presentation along with abundance of flavors. We will return!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience once again. We will certainly be back.
Whenever my wife and I are in the area we dine at the Metropolitan Cafe.
Wife and I stopped in for lunch on a very warm afternoon. Outside eating area is a nice touch, and the sushi and food overall were good. Relaxing during the week...
Menu had a vast selection of choices and food was very good.
Had a kid free evening and Metropolitan Cafe came recommended from the Manalapan residents Facebook page. It was a nice place great atmosphere. Slightly noisy bar scene which I expected on a Friday night in downtown Freehold. Had the Blue Note cocktail and enjoyed it. We ordered the calmari and shrimp appetizer it was delicious. For entrees my husband had tbe shrimp and arugula and I had the garlic shrimp. Great night out!
We had a very nice evening even with a few glitches. We were brought to a VERY small table in a dark corner of a side room. YUK! We saw seats at the bar and asked to sit there instead. The hostess was very accommodating and checked us in at Open Table and showed us to the bar. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was still Happy Hour and liked the drinks/food selections. We had a lovely light meal. The staff was very accomodating to the VEGAN among us and prepared a delicious vegetable platter for her. The sushi was outstanding. The first table they gave us was upstairs abutting the stairwell (dangerous) It was also very cold (temperature wise) They moved us downstairs and it was fine.
