Good quality, only minor quibbles This is a very high quality printer for the price. It's light weight and easy to install, and its compact size is great for a small home office like my own. Its one design flaw for me: I would prefer the LCD display and buttons to be on top of the machine. Love this printer! Recently, my Epson XP-410 printer wouldn't feed any paper. I decided it was time to get a new printer. I researched several Printers. The Canon mx922, the Epson WF-2750, and the Brother MFC-J775DW. While they all seemed to be good printers I was really impressed with the Brother. Wireless is a major improvement; claims to be efficient on ink This printer was very easy to set up. It comes with a detailed instruction manual. There are 3 packs of ink cartridges, and one is used for the initial set-up and the other two are spares. It is wireless, which is a great feature. To operate from your device you just download an App, and you can print things from the photo roll, cloud, webpage, etc. You can also check ink status and scan (although I haven’t tried scan yet). Great design with easy to use software Perfect size for my home office. Not too big and not too small. LCD screen for me...is a bit too small. it could have been larger but not a deal breaker. Its small so there's a little bit of hard to read text for me, have to keep those glasses handy. You can manually input things if needed like network stuff or check ink levels etc. Mine came with 3 sets of ink which is super convenient. SHORT LIVED It worked great until I had to change the ink - then it became the biggest headache and finally I just had to scrap it. If you cannot get the ink cartridges out you cannot replace the ink - I have been a Brother fan for years and purchased many of them for home and work - NEVER again for inkjet. Way too expensive for GENUINE ink as well.
Great printer except for the LCD screen Setting it up was the normal process for my apple computers except Brother doesn't have a driver for IOS 11. I used the older driver (IOS 10) and had to do two test pages before the printing was perfect. Printed a few documents (double sided) after that & the print quality was excellent. The printing was a little slower than I expected but I'd rather have the quality. the major weakness was the LCD screen. Will not print in black if a color runs out Very nice printer, but it is terrible to waste so much ink – – I don’t even use color ink, but suddenly the color ink will dry up, and the printer won’t work until you’re replace the colors. Even if you just want to print in black. Why?
WORST PRINTER EVER I am forced to add one star for this review to be published. I do so under duress!!! Paper jams. Rarely prints.Feeder is plastic. The odd times it does print, and I have a color image, their are lines that run horizontally. Images are therefor unusable. Beyond a disappointment. Please read this review before you spend your hard earned money on this.
Run - will ruin your life. Horrible never buying anything from brother again.
