This printer is a piece of CRAP This is without a doubt the very worse color printer we have ever purchased. From day one it has been nothing but trouble. It continuously looses the wireless connection to the computers; it frequently gives error codes that have nothing to do with the actual state of the printer (ex: door is open, when nothing is open; it's out of paper when there is plenty of paper in it). I don't expect this to last for long I bought this to replace my HP Office Jet, my expectations are low. It will only hold about 30 sheets of paper at a time. If you take out the paper tray and put it back, there are prompts you have to answer before you can continue printing. The paper tray is really cheap plastic. A rough kid could easily break it. NOT RECOMMENDED I spent 3 hours trying to trouble-shoot why my printer would connect to wifi, but not the Brother software on my printer (the software "did not locate" a printer of any kind), downloading the software from the Brother site, and taking all recommended steps to get the printer to connect - but the printer would not connect to my PC. Greatly disappointed Wanted to love this printer. Wanted to sooo badly. For the price and the cost of ink, I wanted it to be everything it sounded like. Instead it feels junky, takes FOREVER to print (40 pages finally errored out after about an hour), and the print quality is poor. Will be looking for a replacement.
Can’t print easily from your phone have to go through the app From your iPhone to print a document , email, or anything usually you go to the bottom of your phone , click the arrow , then click print and the document is sent via air print and your document is being printed through WiFi Now this is not the case. You have to print everything through the Brother app. So now with this printer you have to send it to the app to print. You have to save it to your files or copy and paste it in the app . Very very slow This is by far the slowest printer I have ever used. I bought it for the auto feed scanning feature thinking it would save time over manually scanning on my other printer. I loaded 11 sheets. It has taken 10 minutes. Do not waste you're time or money. I will be returning this once it's done scanning.
