Great printer! Installed easy. Wifi setup a breeze. Prints fast.
Prints good quality photos. Below are my views about this printer. 1) Easy to set up and print from the app. 2) Prints good quality photos. 3) Scan speed seems to be slow and the color scan quality is a shade or two lighter than original document scanned. 4) Printing a normal black and white document in a black and white setting is better quality vs printing it as a color print option. 5) No clear instruction on how to print photos (4x6) but overall setting up the whole printer and getting it running took 20-30 min. 6) The i... read more
Well worth the price. This printer was a little more expensive than printers I have purchased in the past but it was well worth it. Printing is quick. Wireless access works with ease. Printer comes with a good supply of ink

Compact and sturdy I like the footprint--barely bigger than the size of 8-1/2" paper. I love the auto ink reorder! I got an email today that my printer told Brother that I was low on Black ink, and so Brother shipped out a cartridge.
It works well, not too hard to set up. I don't do a lot of printing--but my old Epsom was eating a lot of ink --as I always had to "clean the print head" before printing a picture --so the Ink blotter filled up and Epsom's scheduled obsolescence kicked in. This printer so far has been working without a hitch and I'm happy with the output. Scans are also easy --via Wi-Fi --and the printer sends the scan to my computer as an e-mail. --How easy!
THIRD BROTHER PRINTER IN 20 YEARS! First, my other Brother printers were laser. Other printers might equal Brother text quality, but I have never seen any better. I will learn more in five or six years. Now, with this printer, I'll be critical, and replace it soon if it fails; there are many other printers seeking buyers. I don't expect Brother to relax their performance in this one. Excellent Brother Machine I was actually looking for a Brother MFC-J650 - I have one already in a home office to be able to use the same cartridges. Unfortunately, the 650 is no longer available so I bought this MFC-J895. After a couple of months of use, I can report that I am very happy with it. I've tried all 3 functions - print, fax and scan - all functions worked well. The touch screen is a nice feature and very user-friendly.
