Four Stars Works great for my application.
A great printer if you are patient and not speed oriented. Very impressive printer does a lot and is very versatile. However, the WiFi connection is a bit tricky for the novice or those not savvy of cabling wireless or not. The original machine that arrived from Amazon--- did not meet proper standards of blackness and colors, and seemingly the two year supply must've dried up while stored in the warehouse. Three Stars Photo print quality is poor.
Brother MFC-J985DW XL Inkjet All-in-One Color So far it has done everything it is supposed to do with no problems. I like the ink supply, I'm not buying ink replacement all the time like I did with other brands of printers.

Five Stars It is a great printer. Very happy with it.
Best inkjet printer ever. This is my third wifi connected printer and is the only one that meets expectations. It prints from android and ipad tablets, laptop and desktop. The extra large inkjets havent run out in two months, and i have been printing photos and reports and recipes, whatever. Took a couple tries to get set up. Had to use a diagnostic, but then everything clicked. Best printer i have ever had.
Very easy to use as a scanner Very fast printing in B/W and color. Very easy to use as a scanner. Photo quality is the best.
