Excellent product I bought this to replace a Xerox Documate 152 scanner. The Xerox scanner uses a sheet rubber device to help feed the papers. This would wear out after a few months use and had to be replaced at a cost of $35. After two years of use the bulb that scans the back of the documents (it is a two sided scanner) either started to go bad or else became very dirty so that the scanner could net be used. The wireless is not really useful. Plan to use a cable Printer works ok. The wireless is not really useful. Plan to use a cable. I don't have time to figure out how to establish the connections both directions around security features on my computer and with the wifi. You can send out a print job ok, but to get a scanned pdf back to the computer is a mess. There are helpful hints on the web. "Take down your firewalls." That is a bad idea!
I love this printer I love this printer! It is much better than previous Brother machines I've used because the menu is more user friendly. It prints quickly, but only in B&W because it uses toner instead of ink, although it scans in color. Toner saves on cost compared to ink. You can feed several papers in to be scanned at one time, or use the flat bed. This is the same for copying.

Great printer Very easy to set up and works perfect we IPhones and iPads.
Customer service with a smile.. Got this for my mom who lives in another state. It replaced her Canon that was inkjet and the heads seized in a locked position. So it was toast (I have the same Canon model myself and it is has been good to me). But I LOVE LOVE LOVE how Brother held her hand through the setup. She really liked working with them and they are doing customer service RIGHT! I will consider a Brother for sure next time I am in the market...
